My time studying BA (Hons) Fashion Communication has been defined by a commitment to professional and personal development. I have thrown myself into every opportunity to catapult my skills across Marketing, PR and events.

My foundational experience comes from a 12 month placement within the Global PR team at Barbour. Working at the heart of the brand, I contributed to global strategies and brand campaigns, built confidence in adapting brand messaging for different audiences and channels and learnt the importance of maintaining media relationships to drive coverage. Here, I progressed into a strong communicator with creative flair and a solid understanding of industry trends.

Building versatility in my final year, I have leveraged this experience across multiple roles. Being Marketing Officer of Northumbria Girls Who Run Society has broadened my marketing insight, honing skills in digital content creation, effective copywriting, branding and strategic planning. I also continue to manage all aspects of the online presence for EJ Melling Packaging, ensuring brand voice consistency across all digital channels. Furthermore, my role as an Activities Assistant within the university’s events team (Be Part of It) has deepened my knowledge of event logistics and brought out my leadership abilities through independently running the events.
