Activities Assistant

As an Activities Assistant for the Be Part of It events programme, a Northumbria University initiative designed to encourage students to try new things, make friends and engage with the local community, I have gained valuable hands-on experience in high-volume event execution.

My responsibilities include:

  • Logistics management- handling attendee registration and coordinating necessary transport and venue arrangements

  • Stakeholder communication- serving as a primary point of contact for external partners and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of the programme schedule

  • Inclusivity- championing a welcoming and inclusive environment at every event, ensuring a positive experience for students and promoting a sense of community

This experience has advanced my capabilities in event coordination, logistical planning, and adaptive communication.

It has been amazing to try new things myself, from aerial hoop to boxing and Ninja Warrior!
